X’thrall nodded, and shook S’peer’s hand. He didn’t particularly have any pinion of the bluerider yet, though he knew he could trust G’rein not to be ‘messing around’. And besides, if he was G’rein’s best friend, he couldn’t be that bad, could he?

“Nice to meet you, too.”

X’thrall was still noticably a bit more tense around the bluerider, but he relaxed a little when S’peer offered to let them (he and G’rein) sit together. It made him feel a bit better that G’rein wasn’t having to kicki him away anymore, at least. It was somewhat satisfying to know that G’rein cared about him that much even when X’thrall wasn’t around.

X’thrall also took note that G’rein had failed to tell him about his relationships with the rider, but then, if X’thrall ever got a different weyrmate and had to introduce G’rein, he probably wouldn’t tell his new weyrmate about his previous love life either.

Thinking about that gave him a stinging feeling in his chest. The truth was, he didn’t want a different weyrmate. G’rein’s the first (and only) person he’d ever gotten along with, so why would he want anyone else?

X’thrall looked from G’rein to S’peer. “Well, don’t let me get in the way of your conversation.” He said, grinning just the tiniest bit. While he didn’t feel exactly right around S’peer, he didn’t want to antagonize his weyrmate’s best friend—and probably thereforer his own weyrmate!

((Heh. Well, what can we do to make him look like his back is turned…?))
