Subject: Speeding Ticket Author: Anna [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 04:38:15 09/30/25 Tue Has anyone else been spanked as a teenager or young adult by their parents for getting a ticket? My 19-year-old daughter received her second speeding ticket yesterday. The first one was back in January of this year. I warned her then that if she received another ticket that there would be consequences. When I saw that she was doing 60mph in a school zone I became angry. Not only is the fine doubled but she must appear in traffic court. In MOM'S court she was spanked OTK on her bare bottom with hand and paddle and had her car taken away for two weeks. Traffic court is in three weeks. If she was your daughter, would you have done the same as I did? If not, how would you have handled it? I had a similar situation with the 19 y/o college student I was mentoring. She had been pulled over by the CHP for doing 95 in a 65. She was given a warning. I asked her about it because I noticed her pulled over off the freeway on Life360. I always took safety issues seriously and discussed the unsafe aspects of this event with her, how she was still too new of a driver to be going that fast, and made sure she understood the reasons why she was getting a very thorough spanking. I never yelled when "lecturing"... Her pants and undies came off and she was thoroughly hand spanked across my lap then given 25 lashes with the belt bent over the edge of the bed... 15 on her bottom and another 10 across sit spot areas and her upper thighs. I was considering an enema after as well but decided to use that if she repeated the offense. I think that can add additional impact, humility, and discomfort by sitting on the toilet for several minutes. Like I said, I will not mince words and actions around very unsafe choices. In your case, I'd have considered giving her a second spanking and belting the next day. Personally, I am big on major consequences for bad choices that can threaten her life, or a child's life. I think it's also important to drive home a message. We're all different in how we approach things. Like, I would not spank for every little thing. But if it was a big issue (60 in a 25/school is a big issue IMO), I am not beyond breaking up a punishment into one or more sessions. But that should be a very infrequent thing. At that age, I'm not sure I fully appreciated the danger of speeding, but there was no need for corporal punishment for me to drive safely. If my "child" was caught speeding, I would give one warning, and then not allow them to drive. It's too risky any other way. Maybe where you live, the state is too lenient with people who drive dangerously. If your daughter refuses to follow the law, and is endangering herself and others, she needs to be taken off the road until she is ready to be an adult.
