My parents told me recently that spankings would be brought back as punishment. For reference I am 21, I was spanked regularly in high school and the first half of college. Around the start of this year my spankings stopped. I was informed by my parents due to my grades and breaking curfew that spankings would start as I have not been punished in a while. Last week i got my first spanking in almost a year and I not sure how to feel about it. I feel like I am to old but I still live at home. My email is attached if anyone wants to talk because I dont have many people who can relate. Spankings will go back to being the default punishment for any rule violation like it was in high school. More complicated than just the familiar advice that the parents are paying and that therefore they have the right to spank for rule violations. We need to know more in order to give competent advice but most likely the complications make sharing more not such a good plan. I would suggest that if Pat needs to break bad habits, then she should treat living at home and the spankings as beneficial. If her spankings will not lead to any benefits, she should bail as soon as it is financially possible. [ Post a Reply to This Message ]

I remember your prior posts about being spanked while in college, or something along those lines. At your age, any spankings must be consensual, as I am sure you know. For one, although you have not stated anything along these lines, don't get down on yourself. Instead, learn from what your parents are trying to teach. Jennifer said it best... "I know I have a lot to learn...". Learning does not stop at 21 either. We never stop learning. But apparently, there are some basics that your parents feel you need to improve on and spanking seems to work for you, hence their decision. It depends on the person and what works for them. But what is the reason for spanking, and what is it supposed to accomplish? If we are spanked by parents until we are in college, were the spankings effective? If a 21-yr-old is still not doing what the parents want, then how will more spankings change anything? Should the parents maybe try something else, possibly more adult consequences to prepare the college student for real adult life? If a college student needs spankings to help motivate them to accomplish their goals, they can find someone to be their disciplinarian, but that's a consensual adult relationship. A parent spanking a "child" who doesn't want to be disciplined seems pretty pointless, and also quite strange when the child is already an adult. It sounds more like a fantasy than a real situation.
