Depends on how you classify open and closed? If you are gripping the club in the fingers CG style, and the clubface is positioned at the top the same as Todd's is in the LTOBG book, that would be considered closed, if you have that same position while using a strong grip with both hands, such as the Heard Super Swing grip and setup, (with which Todd's strong left grip was almost akin to), that position would be perfectly square to the swing path and would absolutely no adjustment on the downswing to keep it square at impact!

Now Todd's adjustment to a weaker left hand grip, and his different take away, really doesn't have anything to do with this "new and improved, IMA release, does it?

More smoke and some additional mirrors!

P.S. Once again, point out exactly which photo of Todd in the LTOBG book shows him blocking the shot?
