Isn't the building global support for loan forgiveness for developing countries maybe 1 way of avoiding accountability, rather than being a good deed for poor (???) people like us? Just a thought. I know that the government has never honoured its loan agreements, from any country, and since it gets away with this, there is little incentive (other than that rare quality we might call "honesty") to do it any other way.
