The Mekere government must maintain the moratorium indefinately. It should not listen to "landowners" [who run their operations from Port Moresby] in the council who have other reasons to expand logging operations. For once I am in agreement with the IMF/World Bank on this issue.

I wonder how much has Mr. Paisparea's village has in terms of roads and health and cash crop since logging began in his "forest" and which foreign company is he saddled with in the rape of his mengen forest?
