Subject: Taking the PCC Plunge - Help!

I'm new to Macs (please speak slowly). A while back, I got my hands on a stock Color Classic and was instantly enamored with the lil' guy. I did a search to see what was "out there" about CC's and came across a bunch o' sites(including this one) with ways to upgrade and add functionality. I was hooked!

I've taken baby steps so far: first was the 575 logic board substitution (I modified it to display native resolution under system 8.1); second was to upgrade the HD (SCSI); most recently did the 640x480 upgrade. I know to most these are a big yawn, but I got a great sense of self-satisfaction out of their success.

I've recently obtained the wiring connector from a 5400 and the logic board from a 6200 (I know, I know - it's only 75mhz but I will upgrade to 6500 board later if I can get the 6200 to work). I've gotten up enough courage to try the PCC mod, but I have the first of many neophyte questions. The Takky site (and others) refer to a 630 wiring connector for use in the upgrade. Can I use a 5400 connector? If so, what's different about the wiring? (any sites/tips/pictures about using a non-630 connector?). The existing cables on the 5400 connector look different enough from the takky diagram to have me confused. I can post a picture if that would help. Thanks in advance.

(Sorry this was so long, I wanted to introduce myself to the forum).
