Subject: Are dancers from other regions able to compete in WRO?

There’s a WMH dancer who has competed in my DD’s age group previous years, either winning or coming in top 3, who is not from the Western Region. It’s my understanding that dancers can not compete in other regional Oireachtas’. Teacher seems to think that also but it’s not included in the syllabus.
Am I incorrect?

If the dancer lives in WR that's the O they dance even if their school is in another region. If you're referring to who I think you are, it's legit. The dance school is in Mid-America but the dancer lives in WR so they dance at WRO. The rules are a little different for college students I believe. (NT) -- ..., 10:12:38 11/12/23 Sun

Dancers compete where they live, all their normal TC needs to do is register with that region and then they can compete (NT) -- HTH, 12:29:26 11/13/23 Mon
