Lord All Mighty Hon. I'm sorry but from how you have described it, I don't think something like that should ever be used on a child. But I feel the same way about switches, belts and big paddles with or without holes in them. In fact I think any implement that leaves a child with marks that lasts for more than a few hours is too much. I mean, you can hit too hard with a hand too, but using any object that leaves them in pain or with marks that last for days is overkill or even abusive. But that is just my opinion. I'm sure there are plenty of people who will disagree with me. Then again there are others who feel even a quick slap on even a clothed bottom with a hand is abusive. I guess it's all a matter of interpretation.
