Most parents would tell us to "think about what you did" when getting spanked. I suppose that's supposed to make it more effective.

I'm not so sure that I could think about what I did and why I was getting it. Not while I was getting it, anyway. For me the pain was over riding.

Does that mean I didn't actually learn my lesson?
What did you think about when you were receiving your spankings?

Some say that spankings don't teach a child right from wrong. They say that children only learn to get better at hiding it from their parents.

I know that I learned to be a good person. But I don't know if spankings were the reason why, or if I was always just a good person.

Did you learn to not break the rules? Or did you learn to get better at hiding it?
