Ouch! That is crazy! I really do not envy you!
That type of paddle already hurts a lot, no doubt (although luckily I never experienced it as a kid!), but to use it with both hands like a baseball bat seems to me not only too much, but also dangerous. It might cause serious damage. Clearly your school must have thought to so too.

Dare I say you took one for the team? Since he was not allowed to paddle after that.

Other times you got paddled you got it at home too? Would your butt still be hurting after the paddling by the time you got spanked? Did these spankings feel (much) worse than usual then?
