I'm sorry you had such a bad experience, Sonya. I've never trusted schools when it comes to corporal punishment and would never allow it as a parent. When I was in middle school, they did not need parental permission.

Severe bruising and blood blisters on the buttocks is way over the top. I don't know of it being that bad for anyone where I went to school, however it was very painful and there was some bruising, especially from the maximum 5 licks. I don't know if your AP was sadistic or just stupid, but you don't strike full force with a large paddle on bare skin. For a man to inflict that on a young girl makes me angry, and he should have got more than just fired.
