Why would a mother Dye a 3 year olds head????????? Why would she continue to tell that poor baby she's fat - stop eating - practice practice practice. Why would no one say anything to this mother!!!!!! This is very very upsetting- This is the type of Mother that gives pageants a bad name.

Please remember these are children-- they have feelings - Winning is not about you!!!! It's about them!!!!

Its not just pageants. I know these poor little girls whos mother has told them they are either fat or ugly sence they were old enough to talk. All I have to say is that I am an overweight mother & I DO watch my children, only because I do not want them to be heavy like myself! I never tell them they are fat, I merely remind them of eating habits & try to set a good example for them. As for coloring childrens hair, if you are possibly adding some highlights or a rinse to compliment their natural color (even lemon juice), I feel it is okay but changing the color is not cool! I think there is a very LARGE difference between HIGHLIGHTING and BLEACHING a child's WHOLE head! Some people indicated that a mom "bleached her child's hair" when in fact the child received 4 streaks of highlights. We are new to Gem Stars and we really enjoy this system. The winners all seemed fair and yes my daughter did win, but she did not win the first time we tried it and the little girl who did win, deserved it. They are great directors and they really try and make the kids feel special. They even had a halloween party afterwards, with a bunch of games and prizes. We would recomend this system to anyone!!!!! 1. I will never tell you what I think you should do with your child and how to dress her/him. Please return the courtesy.

2. I will never bash you or your child. Please return the courtesy.

3. I will never say that you stole my child's pro-am moves (everyone knows all the moves - it's just a matter of where they are placed in the routine). Please return the courtesy.

4. I will never post under your child's banner negative hurtful remarks. Please return the courtesy.

5. I will never make comments behind your back while pretending to be your friend. Please return the courtesy.

6. I will never put you down for the choices that you have made for your child. Please return the courtesy.

7. I will never say that my child is better than yours. ALL CHILDREN are Beautiful in their own way. Please return the courtesy.

8. I may not be happy that my child did not win Queen today but please don't rub your win in my face. Please return the courtesy.

9. I don't want to know who you coach with, who makes your dresses or who took your pictures. Please return the courtesy by NOT probing my child for answers to those questions.

10. I will never look through your pictures without asking your permission first. After all they are your private property. Please return the courtesy.

11. I will never go up to a director and complain that your child did not deserve to win. Please return the courtesy.

12. If I have a problem with you, I will be happy to discuss it with you in an adult manner, away from the pageant and our children. Please return the courtesy.

13. Please do not subject my child to your rantings and ravings. On any given day any child can win, maybe today was not your child's day but please don't spoil it for the child who did win. Please return the courtesy

I have now had my 2 cents worth. Please excuse my rantings - It is all getting old. People attacking other people over a coach a photo or a win they feel that they feel their child should have.

Please I will use the vendors I choose to use and can afford and you use the vendors you choose and can afford.

Anything and everything is possible. We won an overall photogenic at a National Pageant with a local photographer's picture.
