Friend, I beseech thee
Listen to me
For it concerns chivalry
And the code of three

In this fort there are warriors bold
Over which much poetry is told
I will tell you something different, wonderful too
But what you make of it is up to you

There is a code to abide by
And is just and fair
And you must use it
If you live and fight here

First, do not cause an innocent creature to die
Do I have to tell you why?
If they hath offended you
Forgive them and fight as friends together do

Second, never loose you're honour
Never kill in cold blood or when there is no need
For if you do that
Then none of these laws will you heed

Third, you are brother and sister to all in the fort
Protect them in their need
If you only help yourself
Then you truly dwell in greed

In the fort many stand out to me
They obey these laws
Helping others
With their own paws

Honourable beasts
Tell me true
If you are vermin
Do these apply to you?

Retina, thanks for the critisism. I don't mind, it makes me better! The length variety was because it was simply for my pleasure one evening and I didn't mean to post it then. I agree with you about the cliche but it wasn't really about ruthless murderers, more like beasts who stray form the straight and narrow. A code of chivalry that, while it deals with murder and killing in cold blood also talks about fighting with your friends or beasts you know (don't I know it!). Thanks for all the comments.
