CHAPTER 16
Diviniah smiled fondly at the dibbuns playing in the orchard. She sighed, "'Tis a shame they have to grow up so fast." Turning, she caught sight of Abbot Jerl leaving the gatehouse, a dejected look on his face. Quickly she went over to him, "What's wrong Father Abbot?" He looked up, "Oh, 'tis nothing really. I just can't come up with a name for the coming season." The badger mother stared at him open mouthed, "Nothing really? It's a disaster!! You've always been able to come up with a name for the season." She thought for a minute, then perked up, "Why don't you name it: The Autumn of the Questing Warriors?" Abbot Jerl shook his head in amazement, "I think I will Diviniah!! How you come up with these things I'll never know." She smiled mysteriously, "You are correct about that." Winking at him, she hurried back to watch the dibbuns, leaving the Abbot to prepare for the nameday feast.

Breathlessly, Aubbress reached the top of the hill, "Whew!! I hope that monster hasn't seen us yet." Tarrow looked over the edge, "You hoped to late matey. 'Ere it comes." Revin grasped Martins sword resolutly, "You guys go and see what's on the other side of this hill." Jet had already made his way to the other side, and he called to them, "There's a bally high waterfall, wot! And it doesn't make any bloomin' noise!" Aubbress ran over to him, "Are you sure Jet? Maybe you were just seeing things..." Her voice trailed off, as she backed away from the edge, "I did not see that. It's just not natural!" Tarrow frowned at her, "What's not nat'ral?" The squirrelmaid pointed to where Jet stood, and spoke in a shaky voice, "Over there, o..on the other side of the hill." Revin called out to them, "It's almost here!" Imediatly Aubbress became calm, loading an arrow on her bow, she directed Tarrow to do the same. Jet placed a stone in his sling, and joined them next to Revin. Tarrow held her bow at the ready and stiffened, prepared to grab her javilin from where it hung across her back, at a moments notice. The seconds ticked by slowly. Suddenly the ugly head of Chrassneyah crested the hill!

"...And we'll need some of that soft white cheese studded with slivers of almonds, several large loaves of honey & meadow cream glazed nutbread, some trifles, a large cherry pie, and a mossflower wedge. To drink, we need october ale, dandalion(Spl?) & burdock cordial, and strawberry fizz." Friar Derral stopped, and turned to his assistant, who just happened to be Senetta, "Did you get all that down?" The young squirrel looked up from writing the long list of food that was needed for the Autumn nameday feast, "Yes sir, I've got it all written down here." The dormouse smiled, "Good. Now take the part with the drinks to Olaf Jugg, Cellerhog. But first, give the rest of the list to me so I can check to make sure you didn't miss anything." Curtsying, she handed him the parchment and ran to the cellers.

Ashe ambled into the kitchen, drawn by the delicious smells of supper. Friar Derral brightened at the sight of him, "Ahh, Ashe. Just the beast I wanted to see! Would you please do your dibbun food skit tomorrow at the feast? I will gladly provide the food." Ashe laughed, "Sure I will!!" The Friar smiled and shook his ladle at him at the same time, "Wonderful! Now run along, I need to get supper ready." The squirrel nimbly dodged the wooden ladle and skipped smartly out the door, whistling happily to himself.
