Join the rattle rattle clunk of the engine
All the way up the highway.

The moon grins at me
Yellow & eerie & cold
And bright as the streetlights that light my way
All the way up the highway

I didn't even see him, and I doubt he saw me
The drunkard hurtling toward me in the wrong lane
In a huge black truck,
The messenger of death

Tears stream down my face,
Please, not tonight
Blood is the last thing I see

(Yes, you did) You could use maybe a little more cheerful insights on things...I mean, car accidents first of all isn't much of a subject (no offense, you said you liked it critiqued), and you might try a little more cheer or beauty in your poems.
