A/N: I couldn't help myself. I know I've 'left', but I live on feedback and couldn't resist posting this here. >_> Go figure. Yours truely, from lurkerhood.

Unaware

Cornfields race through my vision,
Sun-kissed and yellow and gold.
Sky blue fades, cloud's lavender stays,
And I'll stay unaware of the world.

Unawareness, but not quite ignorant.
Musing on life; will it go on or yield?
But I'll try not to doubt my signifigance.
It's just the road, me and the cornfields.

I don't want to worry, try to ignore,
No use to think of the future yet.
If I hate or love, I don't want to say.
For now, I'll just watch the sunset.

Watch the horizon burst into flames
As the sun makes its reluctant descent.
Wind whistling past the window;
I wish I could follow, but I can't.

But right now, nothing really matters.
I'll get away from life and now I feel.
Driving down the endless path of life,
Just the road, me and the cornfields.

That was really good! Do you have a natural talent, or did you take a class? I think you're a natural talent, I'd recognize a fellow poet (My poem's right above yours!), Sorry. Sometimes I babble! *Giggles* :-) (NT)Kylie10:19:30 07/22/03 Tue
((Not randomly, just the most recently replied-to move to the top...I /love/ it Rettie! You are a wonderful poet.)) (NT)Cori Curbob13:22:55 07/22/03 Tue
