Jadepaw stood up and smiled, " I see that you have taken after your father, Freetail. He was about your age when he learnt how to fight."
"What happened to him?" asked Rosi.
Jadepaw shed a single tear. " He was murdered by a ferret called Greesol. He was in charge of Darkfangs army. He killed him in cold blood. You never knew your father did you Rosi? He was a great warrior. I know he would have wanted you to have this." Jadepaw opened one of her drawers and took out a sword. She handed it to Rosi.
" Your father told me to give this to you when he thought you were ready. I know now that you are."
She smiled at Rosi, "Follow me upstairs,"
Rosi slowly went after her aunt upstairs clutching her fathers sword. Jadepaw opened a secret door and went through. Rosi had no choice but to follow. She came into a room with a whole array of weapons.
" Now smiled Jadepaw you can come to your first war council meeting. The others will be arriving shortly. And then I'll ask Tailrudder to give you a sword lesson."
Jadepaw took Rosi over a small table and sat her down.
"This is where your father used to sit." she said, "Now how about some mint tea and scones?"
Jadepaw left Rosi to think over the days events.
