Subject: I saw all of the things people printed here and I thought I would show y'all some of my poetry. This one isn't sad or anything, it is actually quite funny. Read it if you don't mind and tell me what you think.

Tinum (Tin-um) and the Lie that was Told

The year was young
the world was old
in the time of Tinum.
Whose courage and strength
the world renown
seemed always to cause a problem.

One day in spring,
as if by chance
a young girl came a running.
To his door,
she called him for
to come to her father’s aid.

Unknown to him for he was kind
the girl was such a liar.
And all her bad misdeeds and such
were to raise her ranking higher.

She called Tinum to the castle
where bearded men were waiting
to test his strength (and courage too)
and then later eliminating.

All the while Tinum thought
he was going to help a damsel.
And as they rode he made a plan
to yell and storm the castle.

When Tinum arrived at the castle gates
the men jumped in front of him.
One attacked so he returned to the fight
and from there it was chain reaction.

He proved to the men that he was strong
And beat all the men who challenged.
It was then that the girl decided to leave
before she could be acknowledged.

It was at that time that he inquired
where the damsel had gotten.
He had many a question to ask her he did
Before they be forgotten.

And knowing not the damsel’s name
how could he search for her?
She had ran away
for fear of his might,
that he might try to harm her.

Of course, the thought never crossed his mind,
but rumors had been spread
of a nasty fighter of miraculous strength
that brought the people dread.

The girl had ran to the castle next
to ask for their protection
to protect her from the awful beast
which cause a jerk reaction.

The lord of the manor
called to his maids
”Lock down the doors
pull down the shades.
An evil man from who knows where
has come to town
giving her a scare.

He will come here next
you mark my words
batten down the hatches
count all the herds.

Get ready for battle
with this fiendish fiend.
He’s the evilest person
you have ever seen. “

Next came a knock
at the castle door
which only scared them
even more than before.

A servant called out
”Ho there, who are you? “
Our hero replied
”What is it to you? “

”Your doors are all locked
the windows shut tight.
Is there something amiss
on this cold winter night? “

”A stranger like you,
from land far away
is out scaring ladies
in this country today.
If you be a friend
come in, but make haste.
Hurry if you’re coming
there’s no time to waste.

If you be a foe
it is time that you go,
if you be the man
run away while you can. “

”I’ll come in if you let me
I’ve had quite a scare too.
I’ve had to defend me
from up of 22.

They were all large
with beards long and hairy.
And a damsel was with them
be cautious and weary.

For she was a liar
she tricked me to go.
Being a gentlemen
I couldn’t say no.

She told me her castle
had been overrun.
Almost to tears, she was
when she was done.

She had tricked me to go
my strength for to test.
But the men could not beat me
I’m the best of the best.

She then proceeded
to run out with fright.
Now I’m trying to find her
on this cold winter night. “

”Well sir, I am sorry
I know not what to say.
We’ve seen no maidens
around here today. “

Dear reader you know
as I also do
that this man was lying
oh what could he do?

As poor Tinum wondered
where the maiden had gone
he looked up at the sky
and the oncoming dawn.

A window flew open
as the sun rose.
And as Tinum watched
out stuck a nose.

Along came the face
then the rest of the head
and then the girl fainted
as if she was dead.

For she had seen Tinum
standing alone in the snow.
She knew she was guilty
and he would also.

After being awakened
she came with no fight
and confessed to her lying
with witnesses in sight.

She told how she wanted
to be princess or queen.
And she thought she’d get rid of
the strong man that she’d seen.

She thought he would foil
her well-thought evil plan
because Tinum was known
as a kind, caring man.

When she was finished
a knight took her hand
sentenced helping the poor
and working the land.

Tinum knew that his job
was done (and well too).
He decided to travel
and find something to do.

This may have gone on
hundreds of years ago
but it gave us a lesson
we surely should know.

To lie is to trouble,
best leave it alone
you need not its company
you’re better off on your own.
