Furrfa And cody stayed at the abbey for a while.
But cody was starting to get kind of homesick...
He had become a skilled fighter, and more friendlier here then he could have ever been back in his own world.
Abbot dusk, a young Squirrel walked over to cody one day at breakfast.
'Um, Cody may I have a word with you?'
'Sure'
'Well, I just wanted to know... you seemed to outlive us much so, as our creatures grow from young to old, you have hardly changed a bit, how long is your lifespan?'
'well, around 60-70 years'
The abbot was taken aback.
'That is longer then any creature I've ever heard of.'
'and there are four seasons in a year, so 280 seasons... 'GASP'... That's a long time.'
The abbot knew he couldn't keep a human in the abbey for 280 seasons, even though he did like him as did the other creatures, he showed them how to play soccer, and he even made something called... Pasta, which was a specialty he made back home.
But he couldn't live here forever... so they decided he should build a home in the forest.
The next day, the abbot, Cody, and Furrfo had gone out to the forest to look for a home in which he could live in, and grow his own food...
Not knowing there was something watching them from the trees.
Krraharrr!!! Lookie Lookie!! Bigtailcreature, and bunnie, and big funny looking no tail thingy...
'Krahaha' the other said.
These two were runty treerats, who had started throwing spears down at them...
They dodged for cover as speared shot down at them.
Cody grabbed a spear and ran around behind a tree hoping they won't see him.
He held the middle of the spear in his teeth, and started climbing.
He got to the top of the tree, and looked in front and behind, he couldn't see anything.
Just then a treerat jumped at his face scratching and clawing...and he lost his balance and he and the rat both fell downwards to the ground.
Cody regained conciousness, and he was in his bed at redwall.
He face was badly cut, but he had bandages covering it.
It hurt to move, and as he looked around there were flowers on the table beside him.
he couldn't get up, or hardly move... and he heard the door slowly open.
It was the baby squirrel.
'Hello, mither Coody me, just came with some Greensap milk, that mama said would make your bones strong.'
'Well, thank you, that would be great.'
The abbot followed him in, and told Cody he could stay at redwall if he wanted too.
But even though Cody did like the place, he had to find a way home... and he told him.
'Well, there is somebeast... a guru named Hopsut who lives in noonvale, and he is very wise, he can possibly help you.'
'Cody was grateful,and he decided when he gets better he will try and seek out this guru, but he probably would know nothing about Dimensional warps....
It's worth a try.
