You do not say why you hold such a belief. Can you show us any credible geological evidence of the existence of such an island continent just 12,000 years ago? Continents can not simply disappear. Unless of course, Atlantis was stolen by some of Norman Paulsen's alien friends.

Yes, and he lived about 10,000 years after it's supposed destruction.
