oh dear, you should believe in the fengshui bit, it plays a big part in man-environment relationship and most of my tutors observed fengshui rules (and many architects, including angmo do believe in fengshui)when they design.
It is true u know, that u should never sleep under beams, near windows and with ur bed directly facing doors, mirrors. Believe it or not, I used to have my study desk under a beam and at that time, it was terrible cos I get headaches almost every other day. It got better after I shifted my desk to somewhere else.
Another friend of mine, she didn't know anything about fengshui. So when she renovated her bedroom, she disregarded all the rules, painted her bedroom beam in bright yellow, and put her bed right under that beam. And guess what? She had splitting headaches and body aches the first night she slept in her newly renovated room. The symptom carried on for 3 months and it got worse. (and of course she went to see doctors but they couldn't diagnose what the illness was) Her aunt (who believed in fengshui) went over to her house one day and got a fengshui master to "check out" her bedroom. He told her that sleeping under the beam is like having a guillotine over ur body and the "sleeping body" is vulnerable, so it's susceptible to "danger". And painting the beam bright yellow is worse, cos it further emphasized this guillotine thingy. So they shifted every back into the original position and repainted the beam to a more neutral tone. Miraculously, she was well again the next day. Headache and body aches were all gone.
Whether coincidental or just plain superstition, believe in it man. Really, try to rearrange the furniture in your room abit. It does affect. Trust me.
