Subject: I think that just about every player that doesn't start thinks that the coach is wrong for not giving them more playing time, and I want players that feel that they belong on the court. Playing time is an issue for every coach, every year. I don't see Jaison coming back, but I do feel like it would be the best way for him to achieve his goals. If he goes to a small school with shitty players just because he knows that he will play, he may not be happy when he starts passing the ball to shitty players.
In reply to: Homeskillet 's message, "I'm not disputing that Xavier may very well remain his best option, I just don't think Jaison will see it that way. I also have to think that if he jumped ship with no plan, one of the reasons may have been bad blood with the coaches or team. He was clearly not happy with his playing time, which always provides a source of animosity between players with large egos and their coaching staffs. I think he'll end up at a low mid-major where he will get more time but learn to accept losing a lot. He'll also get almost no exposure, which he seems to crave." on 14:35:25 06/03/02 Mon

[> [> [> [> [> Yeh, it will hurt Jaison's assist totals when he passes it to guys who throw it over the backboard. He'll probably enjoy the big fish in a small pond feel a lot more than the small fish in a big pond atmosphere Xavier offered. Long run, though, he'll probably regret giving up so soon at Xavier. I'm still pissed that Pete and Skip never saw my innate talents and put me in the game in the shootout. I can foul real dirty and there's no way Danny Fortson gets 20 boards on us with me biting his arm. -- Homeskillet, 10:19:58 06/04/02 Tue
