Students say dorm was site for porn film shoot

Indiana University officials on Wednesday asked local law enforcement authorities to help investigate reports that an adult film was shot on campus.

Chancellor Sharon Stephens Brehm said IU police were asked to follow up on a report filed Oct. 3 by a dorm resident manager. The complaint said the resident manager observed several women who were not fully clothed and also noted that cameras were present.

The university said in a news release that the individuals involved said they were students from Los Angeles who were working on a film project.

The film "Campus Invasion" was made at various locations on campus by adult filmmakers from Shane's World, a Web site based in Van Nuys in the San Fernando Valley, said Calli Cox, a publicist and adult film actress for Shane Enterprises.

Cox, who identified herself only by her stage name, told the Indiana Daily Student that she and some colleagues visited IU to "party with students from the No. 1 party school."

Brehm said such filming would be inconsistent with the values of the university.

"I've also asked the dean of students to look into the reports to determine if there were any code of conduct violations by students," Brehm said. "We're attempting to determine facts. If there were violations of the student code of conduct or if criminal or civil laws were broken, we will pursue those violations fully."

Filmmakers tried to persuade students to get involved, said freshman Adam Brown, who lives in Teter Quadrangle, a dorm identified as a shooting location. Brown said the film actresses were performing oral sex on students in the hallway.

"I don't know who the porn crew was. They followed some kids back from class, and they made a video on our floor," Brown said. "College is crazy."

A representative from Shane Enterprises was not available for additional comment Wednesday. A message from The Associated Press was left with a woman who answered the telephone at the company's office.
