Subject: Momentum and Gentry

We need to keep the momentum of the past couple of days going. In the last two or three days, this board has received more posts than in the last month or two combined. The traffic at MM seems to have slowed considerably with so many of us shifting over here. However, the traffic over here also seems to have slowed back down. Keep the posts coming!

On another matter, does anyone know what Steve Gentry is up to these days. That guy was one of my favorites of all time, not so much because of his defensive skills (he was a stopper) or his high socks but because he sucked so bad at NBA Jam in the old University Center. I used to kick his ass all the time with a big headed Drazen Petrovic. I hear a lot of names tossed around on the boards, but no one ever talks about Gentry. Where is he now?

[> By all accounts Steve was a great kid. He was a pure point guard but he couldn't shoot a lick. Teams backed off him and dared him to shoot, and I think that shook his confidence even furthur. You don't see anyone backing off the L-Train. -- Sniper, 19:32:37 04/24/02 Wed

[> [> I have a weird problem with Lionel's game (throws it to my uncle in the stands too much), but I recognize that teams respect his offense. Some try to back off to avoid his drive, but then he can kill them with his decent (not great) three. Plus, I never beat Lionel at a video game and he's too cool to wear high socks. Maybe my video game character didn't have the big head, it was just me with an inflated ego. Thanks for the Gentry update, how is he doing at Withrow (haven't they been talking about a new gym for 2 or 3 decades?). -- homeskillet, 11:39:28 04/25/02 Thu
