THIS IS ON MM'S BOARD:

Here we go again with the inane debate about freedom/free speech/censorship and who has a bigger stick up their azz. Since I am posted the original offending post about Couch I think I should clear the air and puncture some balloons.

My first post was deleted after five minutes from Gary. I e-mailed him, asked for his rationale and received a nice note explaining that "no one should be forced to look at Rosie O'Donnell in leather." While, I agreed with the substance of his arguement, I felt - as an artiste - that the post deserved another shot. I also believe our audience could handle the "pain" based on the facts that they have withstood numerous posts of "Jabba the Vest". Gary agreed to let me try again, but reserved the right to reconsider if "some one legit bitched enough." I then posted again and the post was deleted after one minute! Gary told me that he never saw it and the MM boys whacked it. I then posted my e-mail address and asked those who wanted to see it to request it. I received over 35 e-mails wanting the goods. I recently figured out a way to post the entire story on Pablo's site to preserve it for history and Pablo posted a notice here to notify all.

Some points to ponder:

Get Real asked me for the post on two different times. I believe he "doth protest too much" and cannot have it both ways. Get Real enjoyed my lampoon of "Riechmarshall Hermann Goering" Couch post but not the S&M Couch post - even though he wanted the opportunity to view them. I guess he just wanted to have that opportunity and no one else.

MM has a difficult job. But, they also cannot have it both ways. You are zealots about always "protecting" the various audiences, but yet allow posts that glorify over 125 tales of drunken conquests and debauchery? Where is your outrage about five year olds reading that post? Legend also stated that " Pablo's board serves a purose...and it's a great place for all the posts that do not fit here." Fine, then post the link to Pablo's board at the top of this one to make it easy for all of us "idiots" to do so. What do you have to fear? PUT YOUR MONEY WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS & POST PABLO'S LINK.

XU Fan in DC: You believe that the "Couch post" does not belong here b/c of "qualitative" reasons, namely that MM "is a much more official looking board than (Pablo's)." I think looks are irrelevant. Don't you remember the last offical board looked almost exactly like Pablo's? Pablo's board got Judge Burlew to recuse himself, Pablo himself broke the story about Chalmers moving to the 2 , and Pablo's board seems to be filled with most of the popular posters on this MM board. Many could care less about which board has a better "look." Most come here for passionate discussion, analysis, inside scoop, and (gasp) humor about XU.

Finally, the only thing I know about Oklahoma, Duke, & Notre Dame is that they have all beaten us. I could care less about their boards b/c I am certain they could care less about ours. I would like to beat them on the court as opposed to cyberspace.

I also agree with Bee Pee that this is the off season and we should all relax. Hell, this is a only a basketball message board and not really important in the grand scheme of life.

Finally, a board is successful only because of its posters. MusketerMadness would be nothing without a link to a message board. My guess is only a few come to their site for their analyses on the team and most come to the message board for the real news.

I understand that a mini revolution is about to begin and they may get a direct competitor (if they want one) sooner rather than later.

P.S. I still hate the French and it is a scientific fact that they have caused all of the World's problems. N'est pas?
