John, anything that you have to lie about in order to participate in is a bad thing.

When a woman leaves the house to go and hang out in a bar, and tells her husband that she is going to a female friend's house to visit, no one needs to know the address of the bar, the owner, the bartender's name, or the names of any of the customers in that bar to know that this is a bad thing.

But of course, my logic really is very different from yours. You would argue in as gentlemanly a mannner as Boris Karloff that the lady is doing everything expected of a good Christian woman.
