::Chesnut mare watches Flaming Myst and his mate, unable to keep the fresh tears from her eyes. His mate. The words seem to echo in her head, over and over and over. His love. These words striking at her heart she has to try to keep from screaming out her pain and anguish. She tries to keep from crying, but to no avail, they stain her beautiful face. She looks at the mare again, searching for something, some reason why he had so eaily rejected her love, her faith, her trust. Finding no answers, only pain, she spins around, and gallops swiftly, stumbling, tears streaming. She turns around when she is almost gone, and releases a piercing cry full of pain and hurt.... and eternal, everlasting love. She would watch him, always, aware of how he had never accepted her love... aware, painfully, how her trust in a stallion, so hard won, had gone down the drain, sucks away in the sun like a drop of water in the desert sun....::
