I agree with both the major points made here:
1.) Scully "belongs" with Mulder; although she has obviously had to give up some other things she might have wanted out of life to be with him and aid him on his quest, the trade-off is worth it.
2.) The ep was too much about GA's beliefs and not enough about Scully's. Maybe I'm especially sensitive to this because, like Scully, I'm Catholic. But, really now, it simply wasn't in character for her to come to her great spirtual insight in front of a statue of Buddha! A statue of the Virgin Mary or a crucifix would have been more fitting. By the same token, if Scully had been portrayed throughout the series as Jewish, Buddhist, Muslim or something I wouldn't expect her to be experiencing great spirtual insights in a Christian church.
My take on the did they/didn't they scene. . .to me it was very obvious that they "did it". Why else would Scully (last seen sleeping fully clothed on the couch) have been zipping up her skirt in the bathroom?? Why else would Mulder have been apparently naked in the bed?? We saw in several other season six and seven eps ("Monday" and at least one other one) that he normally wears pajamas (at least the bottoms) to bed. I can think of only one good reason for a man who normally sleeps in pajamas to choose to sleep naked when he has female company!
