I think he didn't wish that she felt the same about him as he did for her. But he could wish for her to be able to have children--based on his comments in Requiem (that she should have kids). I guess this would make the most sense to me. As for Samantha, if he was satisfied with the answer in Closure then I guess that only leaves the fertility issue to deal with. (In this weeks EW interview, CC said Samantha was with the walk-ins so I guess I have to go along with that--still don't think that my questions have all been answered though.) I don't think he wished that she become pregnant--just that she be able to have children--fertility restored. Maybe I'm too much of an optimist, but considering he knows how much Scully has sacrificed, I think he is altruistic enough to think of her first.

You're right about how specific a wish had to be and to wish for the relationship would have the potential for a disaster like you said! He probably learned his lesson from the first two wishes. Somehow I got the message that the genie was into wishes that helped someone else--like having the guy in the scooter be able to walk again so maybe that is another clue??
