These are wonderful posts about Je, er "Wish", CW. Glad you started it. This episode was one of my favorites of the season, and I echo Ra-bids reasons as well why I enjoyed it so. Just such a nice pleasant surprise. I loved all the characters, esp. Jinn.

But, I'm alittle confused as to why y'all would think Mulder would wish, over and above anything and everything else, that Scully be able to have children. Is that what the majority of you think is the most important thing to him?? I could see him wishing for Scully's happiness, etc., but specifically a pregnancy? Or is it just that you are looking so hard for that one scene we might have "missed" - the "hidden" message CC is taunting us with that you have decided Mulder would have wished she could be pregnant?? I'm having a lot of trouble with this concept. er, no pun intended.

My take on that wonderful scene that you described so well, CW, when he glanced down at her with all that love and care (which, detoured, it would be quite all right if you wanted to put that MulderLove look pic up heh heh), was that he was thinking of wishing that she cared for him, that she loved him as much as he did her, just for a fleeting second he thought of what he had sacrificed for the genie to be free as he literally drank her in. But, of course, he knew from the previous disasterious wish that "that" would most likely backfire, too, since it would be impossible to list each specific of a relationship with her. After all, IMHO, he didn't know in that episode for sure just how she feels. She does keep him guessing, ya know, and, we can't forget the Millennium kiss and Scully's less than enthusiastic reaction.
