Krycek apparantly must have known how to find the spaceship since when Mulder and Skinner went out there they found it. I think he was just playing dumb for CSM. Krycek knew Mulder would go out there and find it and get abducted.

Also, CSM said to Krycek just before AK threw him down the stairs "Whatever you do to Mulder and to me you do to all mankind." I think Krycek was just as responsible for Mulder's abduction as he was for throwing old Cancer Man down the steps.

I don't know, maybe I'm giving my man a little too much credit. It's just a vibe I get. Krycek is large and in charge ;-)
