Subject: A money question [Req Spoilers]

I have been thinking about how Scully is going to pay for Mulder's apartment while he is away. How will she afford the rent for two apartments? What will become of Mulder's place? Remember in 'Monday' where he had to deposit his pay cheque to pay for the damage caused by his leaking water bed. Well I would think that Mulder should be loaded now. After all he is the sole owner of three houses in areas that I assume are some of the primest realestate areas in America. So does he rent them out? He should as he would have a hefty income from them. Has he maybe sold one, two or all? Has he bought his apartment from some of the proceeds of one of these sales? When he comes back and maybe leaves the FBI he could live nicely on the rental income of his three houses and maybe only do consultancy work for the bureau or police. And Scully will be nicely taken care of when she is off on the unpaid portion of her maternity leave. [I assume some of it will be paid?????] So I really wonder what the story is with Mulder's financial state and how much Scully knows about it. Did Mulder put anything inplace before he left incase he didn't come back or did he not think there was a chance he wouldn't come back? Did he have some of his other income set aside to automatically pay his rent if he does not already own his apartment? I may be odd for thinking about this but it has bugged me for a while. Any thoughts?
