Subject: Touching on your theories...

ITA with you on the non-soapish aspect. The barren Scully, now pregnant Scully are all within the regular X-Files Mythology...as is Mulder as dad...remember that this is a generational mythology beginning with Mulder's father(s).

I also agree with your Mulder as first abductee theory. But maybe Sam was never abducted, at all. Many abductees see aliens as subconscious threatening entities when ever they are stressed. A sort of post traumatic stress syndrome(I think we saw this in Duane Berry). So maybe Mulder saw someone human take his sister and in his young traumatized subconscious the abductor(s) took on alien form for him. Afterall, our version of Samantha's abduction is from a hypnotized Mulder and we know that CSM had her at one time.

However, we part ways at the Bounty hunter theory. It seems like "god in the machine" to have the bounty hunter drop by in "En Ami". Just a little too convenient. And while I agree that the BH seemed pleased to see Mulder, he would have had no reason to deal with CSM for Mulder. He had Mulder(and a ship) in the Artic and he let him go. Also he is a shape shifter, why couldn't he just become Scully and nab Mulder at home. Maybe he was pleased to see Mulder because he likes him. I've always thought it was odd that in all of their run-ins he never hurt Mulder, even though Mulder inconveninced him.

who also thinks Mulder may be essential in some way to that Alien agenda, since this has been mentioned several times...of course, maybe all they needed was for him to reproduce.
