Why yes I did see an XF shoot and in fact had a starring role in the ep Fight CLub! Didn't you see me? ;-) LOL You must have blinked then. We got to work as extras in the scenes in the wrestling arena. It was a lot of fun even though the episode wasn't all that well received. I got to "act" in a scene very close to where DD was and I met GA and shook her hand.

There are three posts about my little adventure further down on the General board but they're kind of spread out. Or, if you want, I can email them to you if you're interested in reading about what happened.

I thought the Scully cancer arc was very well handled too. Heck, Memento Mori is still my favorite episode. But arguably that storyline could be considered soap operaish. Just about any story could fit into a soap opera vein. Look at NYPD Blue which contains tragedy after tragedy for Dennis Franz' character. It's all a matter of how the story is told and I have confidence that CC won't let this get too sappy.

I agree there was not enough myth arc this year. It wouldn't have been so disappointing if we had more MOTWs of higher quality but there were a few episods this season that were rather forgettable. Requeim has made things exciting once again. I think we were in need of a change. If Season 8 had been green lighted early it may have eneded up being just another season and I don't think Mulder and Scully can go much furthr just investigating their average paranormal cases. We needed a jolt of some kind. Maybe a pregnancy isn't the best idea and is taking a big chance but it certainly adds a big wrinkle to things!

I loved Closure but I can also see how it was unfullfilling in ways. I'm not sure what a better way to end the Sam story would have been though so I can't criticise.

I hadn't thought about Scully going to Mulder's room being like the pilot! They really did try to connect a lot of things with the first episode. I haven't heard who specifically the partner would be but I did hear Fox alledgedly wants to push for a Season 9 and 10 with Scully and a new partner. I don't think there's any chance of GA coming back without DD. Her contrct is up next year.

I am thinking that Skinner would be a great candidate and there may have been foreshadowing of that in the last scene. He says he's going to tell the truth about the spaceship. How will the Feds react to that? He may just lose his job and become ostracized in the Bureau thus making him a new Mulder.

I didn't know about CSM but it wouldn't surprise me if he came back! Don't tell me any spoilers though if you know anything for sure. I like to speculate but not know the real story! :-)
