I do agree about when Fowley almost died it was a wake up call for Mulder. Up to that point the woman who loved him followed him blindly with-out noticing that Mulder was leading them around by the nose (ie-Fowley). Scully isn't like that. She followed him around but didn't get too emotionally attached because she knows Mulders limitations. She knows he is IN love with her. But she is smart enough to give him time to grow and accept a true equal relationship.

AS for Mulders other interests besides the XFiles, well lets see. Theres the Porno thing. hmmmm. The XFiles and Porno, that makes for a well rounded man now doesn't it!!!!IT hardly makes him anywhere close to being the more intriguing charactor. Scully beats him by far. She has complex emotions based on her upbringing and her experiences. Not based on fiction or hopes of what could be.
