After viewing a few of the early episodes
of Season One, this is is character degradation.
We're supposed to believe all that happened to Scully?
When you try and incorporate something as expansive as what we saw in this episode and incorporate
it into what we've seen of Scully in the past seven years, its a *big* problem.
If they want to show her past, show her other brother for God's Sakes, not some pretentious self absorbed soap opera exploration.

This may be the shippers cup of tea but its not for the general fans who don't feel the need to know this.
They want to see the elements that made the show noteworthy to begin with. If you want heavy character growth...go see Magnolia or The End Of The Affair.
The X-Files was never meant to be some deep profund TV Show.
Don't take offense but please don't assume every remaining long time (who still watch) fan is a shipper and this what we want to see at the end of the show.

This will only further aliennate the fans who are not interested in all that new age/religious stuff which was totally out of character for the show.

But of course Gillian's a great actress I just hope she sticks to acting.

As for my calling it LOIS & CLARK, well thats where evrybody at my work calls it.
