Very good take on the Never again ep. I have never given this ep much thought although I was aware of the fact that Scully has felt caught up in Mulder's circle of life rather than travel along her own straight line either with him or not. I really liked Mulder's perplexed reaction to her mood and his attempts to ignore it all hope it would all go away. Really a male trait I think. It also showed up how much he has taken her for granted and just expected that she would feel her life was also his and vice versa. I guess I saw this ep more from Mulder's point of view and not Scully's.I was too busy wishing she would just tell him she had cancer and get on with it. One of the things that really bugged me about Scully is her tendancy to keep stuff from him. This to me has always felt like lying and I guess i idealistically wanted full trust between them as he expected and thought he had with her.

But really it isn't an ep[ even with GA's obvious exceptional performance] that I've ever given much attention to. I think I just didn't like Ed Jers. He was kind of creepy and reminded me a bit of Donnie in an obscure way. I was just glad for Momento Mori to come along the next week and bring Scully back to her senses.
