I can't help but wonder if

CC can come up with some really good ideas for story lines but when it comes to continuing a romantic or even realistic relationship sort of plot, he has no clue how to keep it going within the framework of the XFiles. He keeps bringing in religious themes, some subtle and others quite blatant, which is fine. He just keeps letting personal or romantic relationships fall apart or keeps them just dangling there and never let's things purposefully grow. The romance between Mulder and Scully just happened and I think he had to keep writing in little hints and snippets of information just to show us he had noticed.

However, I wish that FOX would recognize that maybe some creative contract talks need to be done. I have no problem with adding to the cast as long as the original members are able to be part of the scene once in a while.

My big question is just how long or how far will FOX go to keep this show alive and esciting?
