but it seems to me that if a man finds out he will be a father as a result of lovemaking he would just feel differently toward the idea than if he thought it was from IVF. Not that there's anything wrong with the clinical way for couples who need it. I just think thast, with Scully asking him to be a donor he's more detached from it. I mean there's a fine line between asking "I want you to be the father of my baby" and "I want you to donate sperm for me so I can have a child". Even though the parantage result is the same. I think if Mulder thinks Scully used his sperm for IVF again that he would just have a different attitude than if it was instead because of the old fashioned way.

I'm still not ruling out the fact that Scully may have been implanted with Mulder's sperm w/out both their knowledge.
