the events of "Requiem" taking place in October of 2000. I'll assume the reason Dogsbreath thought it took place in May is simply because he's a doofus!
As for whether or not Mulder will "believe" the baby is his. . .I'm sure he trusts Scully to tell him the truth. What he *MAY* think, if he doesn't know exactly how long he's been gone, is that Scully — thinking him lost to her forever — attempted another IVF procedure and this one was successful. I would assume they probably has some of his "donation" from the events of "Per Manum" left over and that she had more than one viable ovum left. He may be a bit surprised to find out exactly how far she is vis-a-vis how long he's been gone and be surprised to realize the baby was conceived the natural way, but he was obviously very open to the idea of being the father of Scully's baby. . .that was the whole point of "Per Manum"!
