Subject: The second ep (contains spoilers)

Yay!! Thanks for watching and commenting, SMH. I'm glad you liked it, too.
Here are my thoughts on the second ep:
The second ep was also quite good. I liked Ellie (the Mom) better in this ep.
It's interesting that we met one of Leopold's grandfathers in this ep. I wonder if the other grandfather will be along in subsequent eps. Maybe Leopold's kidnapping will be the catalyst that reunites the whole extended family.
Speaking of Leopold. . .I really like that kid! By far my fave character in the whole series. Not just sitting around waiting to be rescued but doing everything he can -- both physically and psychologically (like by trying to turn his captor into a "friend") -- to get himself out of the situation.
Something else I like about this series. . .a fair number of the characters are married. Of the three three main adult male characters -- Conrad Cain, Knapp and Agent King -- two of them have wives. This isn't unusual in real life, but it's kind of rare in TV series. Most TV series (think the various shows in the "CSI" franchise or shows like "NCIS" or "Bones". . or, for that matter, our beloved X-Files) feature half a dozen or so adults, NONE of whom are married. The producers could have taken the "easy way out" and made Conrad a widower raising three children, but instead they decided to go for a more realistic family situation of husband-and-wife.
I wonder if we'll see a scene of Conrad and Ellie in bed together at some point? As much as TV delights in showing bedroom scenes of UNmarried people, we rarely see depictions of married sex on the small screen. . .especially in couples who have been married long enough to produce teenage children.
