I saw it & have fingers crossed. I think they might have filmed this before knowing they were on the bubble, many a series has ended on an unresolved cliffhanger due to cancellation. Most producers wouldn't want to say to the cast & crew "let's not have a cliffhanger because we might get cancelled". Sometime in May we'll know if it's back, fans are asking everyone to bug CBS or buy the S1 DVD set which will help boost the series. I think they might ekk it out.

I liked this new development. The show could get really stagnant if it's just Joan helps out on God's advice & everyone feels good in the end. A foil will make life more difficult. Ryan has certainly placed himself well, his actions can effect Joan & every member of her family (he's on the school board, owns the newspaper, on the police civilian review board). I thought he might be the devil himself (the wind he creates makes him seem supernatural) but his talks with Joan indicate he's just a creepy jerk who rejects God's calling.

The comment that Joan has an army like the original Joan of Arc makes me think she will have to confide in her friends & have them aid her in her missions. Convincing them is going to be tough but it is doable. Some fans fear this will lead to Joan becoming Buffy, battling evil each ep. I doubt it but this new direction could be a disaster, hopefully we'll get the chance to see.

I've heard Amber gave interviews in which she claims the show has gone in a bad direction & she isn't challenged by the role, etc. Some said she came off like a whiny brat. I hope it's not true. I did read she's got a bunch of film roles in the works if the show is cancelled. Yipe!
