My eyes dance along the long stretched out high way...cars zooming pass at feirce speed. I turn to Taro..."What's the safest way?...isn't there another possibility?!" I hesitate while contemplating the situation. I look at him again, trying to read whats going on in his mind thru his eyes. "I guess we don't have much of a choice now do we?" I say as I cock my head to a side, trying to sort out the fatal mess. "If...if one dog goes ahead...and stops the traffic...if the trafic will stop for them...the rest of the dogs could cross...and only one dog would be in danger..." I say slowly, still organizing the plan as I say it. I think who should go off and risk it all for the good of the pack. My eyes water slightly and I turn to look at the pack. My eyes gracing each one of them.Then I turn back to Taro..."It's gotta be me tho. I hafta be the one to go first."
