... for one brief shining moment that was here in Camolot! That's ALL I remember. Sigh. We had the op to see it in Las Vegas w/ Robert Goulet but of course, with the children, couldn't work it out. One thing living in LV I wish I hadn't missed. I haven't been to a play (musical or otherwise) since 1991. I rarely get to the movies. Maybe once a year.
I take that back. We saw Barney's Magical Castle last year. Someday I'll explain about the police escort. LOL! Really. Only Lu. -- Luoodles LOOK there's a POLICEMAN MAMA!!!, 14:54:28 05/28/01 Mon
*flip flip* Canrane going through her Calendar. *flip*, "Macday", *flip*, "TineDa"...hmmm..."Webbday", *flip*, "ThrowMicday"..."FryMicday"..."Budday" (I *know* it doesn't work...but I HAD to get him in there *somehow*...I mean, this IS his board right???)...oh here we are..."Someday"...Alrighty Lu! Out with it! No, Lu, I did NOT mean the spatula...now where's the promised story??? -- Canrane, 15:16:03 05/28/01 Mon
I was driving. First mistake. And I didn't know where I was going, exactly, and it was getting closer and closer to concert time, and we still weren't there. And then I saw this map/diagram thing sort of off to the side kind of, so I WHIPPED the car over to it, but I still could not make it out (it was dark and my headlights weren't hitting it) and so.... 2nd mistake. I got out of the car to look closer, and apparently that not only is one the stupidist things I've ever done, but also illegal. So then a police car w/ lights and all car pulls up (to the utter glee of my children) and I suppose I looked distressed enough (and STUPID enough) that he felt sorry for me. I told him I had a car full of screaming kids and we were about to miss Barney and I didn't know where I was or how to get there. He just looked at me and said, "Follow me." He took me INTO the parking lot of the place. SO NICE. -- So if you are out there Nice Police Officer Person. I thank you and my children thank you. (I got home w/ no trouble - and no escort, btw). Luoodles who thinks she made it onto that officers "You won't believe the idiot I pulled over today list.", 23:28:59 05/28/01 Mon
BTW, we made it on time. But here's a question that came up. If a policeman says follow me, and he is going over the speed limit. Are YOU supposed to got over the speed limit, too? LOL! I was thinking. Oh great. Now when we stop, he's going to give me 800 traffic tickets. He just flashed his lights and waved. I bet he had kids. -- Luoodles, 23:31:02 05/28/01 Mon
LOLOLOL!!! What a story! And I know exactly what you mean...they're a bunch of HYPOCRITES I tell ya! There's a street in my city where you aren't supposed to block the driveway on the side, so ya gotta wait for the light change behind this sign...and it's REALLY close to a police station too! But I've NEVER seen a cop follow the BIG signs...EVER! LOL! -- Canrane, 18:16:55 05/29/01 Tue
I don't know. This guy was acfully nice. There are good guys and bad guys in every walk of life. I've had good experiences w/ police, and one VERY bad experience w/ a detective. People are people, no matter what their job. -- Luoodles, 17:37:22 05/30/01 Wed |
