i LOVED the mivue, but as far as being Faithful went.....
here are a few points that bothered me:

-The Rousing of the Ents. in the Movie, the way its done is quite hasty (though more climatic), and the Ents from the book are FAAAAR from hasty.

-Faramir's character is FAAAAAAAAr Different from the book's. Theoden is also rather different.

-The Ring in front of a Nazgul in Minas Tirith. in the book, its mentioned over and over again that Frodo's only advantage over Sauron is the fact that Sauron doesnt' suspect whats the Fellowship's plan with the Ring BECAUSE he ignores where the ring went after Amon Hen. Now if a Nazgul saw the ring RIGHT on Sauron's border, thats kinda blow THAT part of Frodo's cover. i do wonder how'll they fix that up.

-WHERE ARE THE HUORNS !!!!!!!!!!!! I Loved them in the book, i wished they came at Helms Deep like they do in the book.

Differences i liked:
-The Lorien/Rivendell Elves coming to Helm's Deep to "Honor the last alliance"

-We see more of Wormtounge in the movie, i liked it.

the Balrog's battle

Faithful parts i was glad to see:
-Legolas and Gimli counting their kills (in the book, Gimli end up winning by one kill)

-Gandalf's encounter with the fellowship (ie: he blocks the arrows/axe fired/thrown at him, and heats up Aragorns's sword)
