Yes, of course France and Russia only get a little bit of their oil from Iraq. That's because U.N. economic sanctions prevent Iraq from selling much oil, NOT because those countries don't have substantial deals with Saddam. Truth be told, France and Russia would really like those sanctions to be lifted and Iraq to be welcomed back as a fine, upstanding member of the world community, so they can actually take advantage of their existing oil deals. That's also why they oppose regime change. A new government might not recognize those deals. In spite of the popular protest chant "No war for oil", opposition to war with Iraq (again, I'm talking official government positions, not street protests) is more motivated by oil than the push for war.
