"Home and Away" and "Neighbours" are very popular over here in the UK - thankfully their popularity has dwindled slightly in recent years, but they are still rolling on. Because of my work hours I am not in when "Neighbours" is on (not that I would rush to watch it anyway) but channel-hopping occasionally brings me to "Home and Away" on channel 5. Lordy, what a terrible show - surely by now Alf Stewart would be dead! How many bad things have happened to that man?

As for terrible UK shows - oh yes, PII, we show the lot of you up when it comes to execrable offerings on the gogglebox. I would nominate the UK "Big Brother" as top of this list. After that you could go for "Crossroads", another soap (throw in "Eastenders" while we're gunning for soaps). Years back they made a show called "Come Back Mrs. Noah" about a housewife who got stranded aboard a British Space Station (and hilarity ensued - or at least that's what they told us). There are more - my memory might be blocking them out - I will post more if I remember, or perhaps if some of the other Brits who lurk here think of some they will post them!
