  • I had to work today but my wife called and the feis is all messed up. They are short a judge and nothing started on time. O/PW dancer has yet to dance and it is 1:20pm. Hope they get done intime for the Greatl akes feis. (NT) -- No name, 13:21:59 08/16/08 Sat

  With the new ID magazine forth coming got us thinking about the one that came out of Milwaukee years ago. Did it start before IDM, can't remember? Why did they stop printing it? It was a joy to read, you could tell their involvement in ID.

  As we're all gearing up for the "O", there's a lot of things to wonder about. How does feis level affect recall or placement? What about when you started dancing, when you learned your "O" steps, how often you practiced, or whether or not you tanned?
  
  As a first time "O"-goer, I created a survey for people in the US and Canada who went to the O in 05, 06, or 07. It has some questions about your level, "look", school, and experience and how it might relate to how you did.
  
  Of course, this survey won't give any definite answers, but any information helps for those of us going into unfamiliar territory!

  • Good post--only shortcoming is assuming 2 families can stay in same room together. With 2 parents & 2 dancers, this would work, so long as dancers are still small. Long way to drive if only 4 dancers sign up for a particular age group and then it doesn't count. Efeis does that! but on Feisworx you have to pay B 4 you know.   The Graham Academy Feis Committee has decided to combine competitions (up to two age groups, adjacent only) to reach 5 registered and paid dancers in each age group. This will occur in all categories and age groups except for the first feis category. However, the committee cannot help if a dancer decides not to attend the feis that weekend and the total number falls below five again.

  • I75 is closed by the bridge so DON'T TAKE the detours and you can still get to the bridge - if you want the tunnel, then you have to follow the detours.
