Subject: I think he's still taking baby steps in his acting, mostly because he is not confident and sometimes gets tentative in his approach instead of going full bore. But he said he was crap at comedy when he first started and it took years before he knew his craft. He isn't at the level of Michael Caine or Robert Duvall, but he's already better than half of the Hollywood stars around, which of course isn't saying much.
In reply to: Patti 's message, "Well I have not yet seen him in what I would consider a *dramatic* role (haven't seen Cat's Meow or Joe Egg) but I agree with Gum about the acting in his comedy. He fills the stage with characters. I've read that comedy is more difficult than straight acting." on 01:30:53 12/21/01 Fri
